Bottle Rocket Gallery announces the opening of a new gallery space—Bottle Rocket North—in downtown Bentonville at 209 NE 2nd St—through an alliance with Artansas, an organization that promotes Arkansas artists. Openings will take place on Bentonville’s First Fridays. Bottle Rocket North is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be sponsored by Pink House Alchemy.

On April 1, 6:00 p.m., Bottle Rocket North will host an opening and performance by painter and illustrator Zachary Laman, titled “Biophilia – The Art of Zach Laman.” Laman will do a live piece on the exterior of the building and also show his smaller works in the gallery. Laman, originally from Bentonville, lives in Kansas City, MO and is part of an art collective, the Style Biters Crew, which collaborates on works putting on benefit shows, underground art shows, and gallery shows.

Bottle Rocket Gallery, established in 2013 in Fayetteville, AR, is a non-profit entity composed of individuals whose aim is to bring the work of emerging and more established artists, work that might not otherwise be shown in this area, to Northwest Arkansas. Bottle Rocket North expands its scope to include the best of Arkansas art as well as continuing to invite artists from outside the region. The new space will continue many Bottle Rocket traditions including exciting art, fun and festive openings, and the introduction of the gallery artist to the Northwest Arkansas community.
