On Saturday, January 18, Fayetteville bar Speakeasy will host For the Love of Art, a party to celebrate the visual arts community in Northwest Arkansas.  The event is put on by Fayettechill, the Fayetteville outdoor clothing company, who organized the event to showcase two local artists along with The Idle Class and Smokehouse Media.

“Our way of contributing to the local arts scene is to feature, promote, and celebrate with our two most prominent artists, Chad Maupin and Joelle Storet. We hope that the event will get like-minded individuals in a room together to discuss art in Fayetteville, share ideas or opportunities, or just make a new friend,” said Devin O’Dea of Fayettechill.

The party will feature live painting by Storet, (Idle Class Issue #2 cover artist) drink specials, and three DJs spinning throughout the night.  Their sets are:  DJ EJ (Eric Jensen) from 8-10 PM, mackson (Matt Jackson) from 10-12 and DJ EO (Eric Olson) from 12-2. There will also be a gallery set up with new work created just for the show, and prints available to purchase for $15.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or at the Fayettechill store at 329B N. West Ave in Fayetteville.
