In a time when public art is prevalent, the first annual Sprayetteville Street Art Mural Festival will be happening in and around the entertainment district of downtown Fayetteville on July 6-12. Curated by Loudy Bousman and Ranaga Farbiarz, founders of Shaman Art and owners of the American Shaman Kava Bar, Sprayetteville will feature the visual talents of 11 professional local and regional artists in various murals around downtown Fayetteville.

“As we adjust to the new normal, Street Art Murals are the perfect community activation allowing everyone to enjoy the artistic process in action, while adhering to all city approved COVID-19 guidelines,” the founders said in a press release. “Eight major murals will bring new vibrance to the cultural tapestry of Fayetteville, enhancing its status as a world-class art destination. Sprayetteville is designed to give the community a much needed positive focus in these uncertain times.”

The festival features a Walking and Biking Wall Crawl utilizing the RideWithGPS app, giving turn-by-turn directions for art lovers to check in with a QR code at each location. The app is free to download, and users can search “Fayetteville, AR Sprayetteville” to access the QR codes. If participants mark off each QR code, they will be entered to win prizes from the American Shaman Kava Bar, which will be announced July 13.
