The Green Heart Festival | Trailside Village (546 W Center St.)
April 20 | 6-10 p.m.
With festival season upon us, Fayetteville is adding another one to its roster, and it’s going to be dope. The Green Heart Festival is a celebration of art, music, plant medicine, and wellness. The first annual festival takes place this year with the help of local artists, health providers, and businesses in the community. The idea for the festival came from Wendy Love Edge and Trisha Guting who brought the idea to fruition by incorporating the local community. The event will take place where Center meets Gregg and is being produced by Bulldozer Health Inc., Out of Hand Artist Collective, and KPSQ 97.3 FM radio. The hosts for the evening include Topher Kogen and Wendy Love Edge. Olivia Morgan, a citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma will open the event with a land acknowledgement to acknowledge the original tribes of the area. In addition to Morgan, a number of performers and speakers will take the stage, including city councilman Mark Kinion.
The mainstage musical lineup includes:
- Randall Shreve
- Acoustic Trio with Jesse Dean, Isayah Warford and Richard Burnett
- Angela Edge
- Cameron Johnson and Samantha Hunt
Harvest Moon Pies and Fire Stoned Pizza will be at the event and vegan options will be available. Because it is a green event, the festival will attempt to recycle and repurpose by using compostable materials and donating food scraps to a local pig farm.
There will also be music at The Nines, and a comedy show at Backspace.

One submission will be chosen to travel with the exhibit and the rest will circulate in Fayetteville.
