Mount Sequoyah Center’s Creative Spaces NWA program recently announced a partnership with the Visual and Performing Arts Center at Fenix. VPAC@Fenix (formerly known as Fenix Gallery) is a recently established 501C3 organization whose goal is to advance arts education by focusing on mentorships for established and emerging artists and providing support and educational opportunities while promoting excellence in visual and performing arts.

“The Fenix member artists will be a fantastic addition to the arts community at Mount Sequoyah, and their presence on the mountain will help the larger arts community connect with the 40 plus artists already practicing at Mount Sequoyah,” according to a statement by Creative Spaces NWA. Creative Spaces NWA has been hosting exhibitions in Sequoyah Hall for just over a year, and the addition of VPAC@Fenix exhibition space in Millar Lodge will amplify the connections in the arts community of Northwest Arkansas. This partnership will result in vital support, collaborations, installations, happenings, and multifaceted arts experiences manifested by the NWA arts community.

The Mount Sequoyah campus provides a unique environment for disparate groups to interact with the arts in an approachable organic fashion. With 30 acres of space and numerous vignettes to experience art, the organization expects VPAC@Fenix’s presence to break beyond traditional gallery experience.
