School is back in session, but Crystal Bridges still has a lot of fun things happening to round out the remaining Summer, and ring in the fall season. Don’t forget, September will also be the last month to get in and see the summer exhibitions, Nature’s Nation and Color Field.

Salsa Night 

7:30-11 p.m. Sept. 13

The Great Hall

Wanting to add some spice in your life, but not sure where to start? Join DJ Luis in the Great Hall for some spicy Salsa beats and dance your heart out! If you don’t know what to do, or want a quick lesson before strutting your stuff, arrive early to the event for a short lesson in the basics of Salsa. 

Entry to the event is free and you can register either online, or at Guest Services.

Art Night Out 

6:30-10 p.m. Sept. 27 

North Forest

Come out to the North Forrest for an electrifying combination of art, music and color. There will be one main stage, which will host the band Arkansauce. There will also be live music at small area specific stages and an interactive percussion set done by, Arx Duo.  Along with the music, the event will include many colorful arts and activities for the evening. This event is free, but registration is required either online or at Guest Services.

Star Party

7:00-9 p.m. Oct. 9 

Skyspace

This Star Party will be the celebration of the 10th anniversary of James Turrell’s: Skyspace, The Way of Color. All Star Parties begin at sundown and start with a special talk. After this attendees will have the opportunity to look through telescopes and speak with astronomers from The Sugar Creek Astrological Society. Other small activities inspired by the night sky will also be offered. 

Star Party is free with no registration required.

Halloween in the Hollow

9:30-12:30 a.m. Oct. 26

Museum-wide

Crystal Bridges boasts the largest costume party in the Northwest Arkansas area. A cash bar and some complimentary snacks will be provided, and drinks will be available for purchase. DJ Heather, a leader of the House movement of Chicago, according to Crystal Bridges website, will provide the music for the evening. Crystals in Art: Ancient to Today will also be on temporary display. There will be a crystal healing station to renew your spirit and energy, along with many other activities.

Halloween in the Hollow is $25 ($20 for members), free for Artinfusion members, registration is online or with Guest Services.
