“School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play” set to virtually debut at TheatreSquared
“School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play” is set to debut at TheatreSquared, and it will be more accessible than ever before. Instead of coming into the theater, the production joins TheatreSquared’s virtual stage and can be streamed starting Jan. 20. New York Magazine calls it “funny and fast-paced, brisk and clear—with a sting inside all this fun.”
Paulina, the reigning queen bee at Ghana’s most exclusive boarding school, has her sights set on the Miss Global Universe pageant. But the arrival of Ericka, a new student with undeniable talent and beauty, captures the attention of the pageant recruiter—and Paulina’s hive-minded friends. This buoyant and biting new comedy, twice extended in its acclaimed New York debut, has become a cultural phenomenon. As a NYT Critics’ Pick, this is a show you don’t want to miss. Streaming Jan. 20 through Valentine’s Day, the high-definition “School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play” will be available on-demand (filmed with four cameras!) for date nights galore.
The performance is available for individual or household streaming on the TheatreSquared website. Individual tickets are $25 and household tickets are $35. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the box office at 479-777-7477. Once performance tickets are purchased, viewers can watch the performance as many times as they’d like between noon on the day of the performance and noon the following day.
