“CATS” headed to Walton Arts Center
CATS, the record-breaking musical spectacular by Andrew Lloyd Webber, is headed to the Walton Arts Center from May 28 to June 2 for eight performances.
Winner of seven Tony Awards® including Best Musical, CATS tells the story of one magical night when an extraordinary tribe of cats come together for the annual ball to celebrate and decide which cat will be reborn.
The original score, featuring the breathtaking and one of the most treasured musical theater songs, “Memory,” is by Andrew Lloyd Webber, and original scenic and costume design is by John Napier of Les Misérables fame.
The touring production makes CATS a show for a new generation, according to a press release. All-new lighting design is by Natasha Katz (Aladdin), sound design by Mick Potter, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton) based on the original choreography by Gillian Lynne (Phantom) and direction by Trevor Nunn (Les Misérables), according to a press release.
