Batesville Area Arts Council set to host the 3rd Annual Artoberfest
The Batesville Area Arts Council is excited to host the 3rd Annual Artoberfest, an arts and music festival on Main Street (between 3rd St. and N Central Ave.), Saturday, October 20, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The festival will feature local and regional artist booths, a sidewalk chalk art competition, and art demonstrations, including a live mural painting by Lyon College Art Students. There will also be live music by Ed Casper, Love Holler, Sleeping Fit, and Walters & Rounds, along with other family friendly activities!
The Arkansas Arts Center Artmobile will return to Batesville for this year’s festival! This one-of- a-kind space features curated exhibitions of works from the Arkansas Arts Center’s permanent collection. The current exhibition, Who What Wear, presents a tailored collection of original artworks from the Arkansas Arts Center’s permanent collection. While engaging with these diverse representations of clothing, viewers are invited to try on the idea that who they are is reflected in what they wear.
Artoberfest is FREE for the community to enjoy thanks to our generous sponsors! This year’s festival is sponsored by Citizens Bank, First Community Bank, Future Fuel Chemical Company, and Lyon College.
