Fall Fits found at The Library
As the seasons change, many are looking to shift from a summer wardrobe to a fall closet. However, with the unknown of Southern heat it may not be time to fully commit to the cool air fits.
One option to make the switch to not only have flexibility, but the sustainability of a community closet that can be found in the Fayetteville-based shop The Library Vintage.
“Both a vintage store and membership-based community closet, The Library is for everyone who wears clothes,” owner Meg Carpenter said. “Everything is for sale and you do not have to be a member to shop at the store, but members are able to rent multiple items at a time, wear them, and return them to the community closet for an unlimited amount of times for the duration of their subscription.”
With the tagline “Hot People Share Clothes,” below are a few fall outfit ideas that can help in “reducing waste and building community through sharing clothes and resources at the shop.”
Layered Up
Can’t make a decision? Then keep on layering up! Purse after purse brings a pop of color to this look. The striped flowing skirt blends well with the lace trimmed top. With the sheer material, layering a blazer on top can help heat you up in the fall or take it off to cool down in what seems like an extended summer day.
Big Blazer, Lil Slip
Another seasonal transition look can be found by pairing the heavy combat boots and big blazer, in a darker autumn colors of black and gray, with a summery color of the baby blue silk slip dress. The silvery belt helps add even more shine to make the shape of the slip.
All Tied Up
Wrapped up around the neck, the All Tied Up look follows a minimalist color palette pairing an oversized thinly striped blazer with a white cropped top and elastic tied gray pants.
Pattern on Pattern
The picnic blanket-esque skirt with horse patterned button up make for some major contrasts in this fall look. To not overwhelm, adding simple black flats and a fluffy white hat pull out parts of the patterns to make them pop amongst the autumn trees.
Denim on Denim
Some may find the Canadian tuxedo a taboo, but the denim look could be a staple on campus as the semester begins. The golden toned embroidery flower pulls the eye to the detailing of the gold belt to add separation to the strong sturdy denim.
Enjoying the Modelo
It pays homage to a father figure’s favorites. A plain blue button up with cigarette keychain dangling from the pocket, camo pants, and a Chevy hat. A dad can be found in this fit at this moment as he watches TV with the garage door up.
Quilted Cutie
Another fluffy hat, this time black pairs nicely with the black purses pastel quilted top. Layers can be found peaking out giving more texture and variety to the fall fit.
