Artist’s Laboratory Theatre brings intimate virtual theatre into homes
Pre-COVID-19, the Artist’s Laboratory Theatre worked on site-specific productions and immersed Northwest Arkansas in thought-provoking theatrical performances. Now, they have created “bite-sized morsels” of the “Good Person of South Fayetteville” plot for viewers to enjoy in their own abode.
Adventus: Secret Theatre is a collection of performances that will take place on Zoom and through SMS on mobile devices. Each event is interactive and asks the participants to play a unique role in the performance.
“During the pandemic, we aim to create performances that cultivate human connections using the same technology that often distracts and isolates to bring audiences together to connect across our common humanity, ultimately increasing our capacity for empathy and connectedness,” according to a press release about the event.
