I’m With Her coming to Walton Arts Center on April 17th
Expect layers of lush guitar tones and crystalline harmonies when I’m With Her takes the Walton Arts Center stage on Tuesday, April 17 at 7 pm. The performance by the musical trio Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz and Aoife O’Donovan is being presented in association with the Fayetteville Roots Festival.
Tickets are $32.50 plus applicable fees and can be purchased in-person at the Walton Arts Center Box Office, by calling 479.443.5600 or by visiting waltonartscenter.org.
From track to track, I’m With Her infuses their sonic palette with so many unexpected and subtly captivating elements− the jagged guitar lines and chanteuse-like delivery of “I-89,” percussive vocal phrasing of “Game to Lose,” ghostly harmonies and eerie atmospherics of “Wild One.” At the same time, the band’s finely wrought lyrics gently shift from the darkly charged storytelling of “Pangaea” to the sleepy sensuality of “Ryland (Under the Apple Tree)” to the romantic travel tale of “Overland.”
I’m With Her builds an ineffable magic from their fine-spun narratives and breathtaking harmonies. The result is an album both emotionally raw and intricate, See You Around reveals layers of meaning and insight within even the most starkly adorned track.
